You tell me, which one is better ?

Isn't harmless solitude better than creating awful chaos ?
Isn't calm isolation better than malignant violence ?

Isn't speechless conversation better than unbearable abuse ?
Isn't pure silence better than inviting misunderstandings ?

Isn't thoughtless sleep better than unreal dreams ?
Isn't acceptance of the defeat better than futile hopes ?

Isn't living with no friends better than getting them into trouble ?
Isn't being cruel but helpful better than being kind but harmful ?

Isn't constructive action better than care for feelings ?
Isn't factual crawling better than imaginary leaps ?

Isn't being stronger and stronger better than always expecting weak opponent ?
Isn't conquering the world all alone better than crying in the corner by myself ?

"Isn't thoughtless sleep better than unreal dreams ?"

Although dreaming of the unreal hurts you so much whenever you have to wake up, at least you already have got an unforgettable experience -- in dream :)

In some sense, it's better than thoughtless sleep where your life is pieceful but too simple.

The first options invariably are better for obvious reasons. Acceptance of defeat is better than hope, but you don't have to accept defeat for that. Hope truly is suicidal, whereas hopelessness or depression will let live and be happy to some extent. But, this should not motivate you accept defeat without fighting. You have keep fighting and never accept defeat. Fight neither with the hope of victory, nor with the fear of defeat. Fighting is a way of living.

true, parinya but when dreams and reality
interfere then thinking of either hurts

anandam, "fighting is the way of living"
but when it is not clear whom to fight
against, when u fail to know whether u
r fighting against friends or foes then
suicide is tempting, otherwise u will
end up hurting ur friends.

It is not about fighting people, but about breaking walls that block your way. Friends, as i said before, mean nothing and there are no foes in reality. And, even if your opponent is a person, it is not victory that you seek, since your victory is someone else's defeat. Thus, instead of fighting people, just don't allow them to touch you. In other words, embrace solitude and be what you are meant to be.

Raghav,
It was nice reading your blogs. What incident could have led you to such an opinion of the world?

anandam, thinking abstractly never helps.
u have to fight with people.
u either make them ur friends or foes.
breaking the wall on the way is bullshit,
thats so mundane, u have to do it irrespective of whether u have friends or not.

but u r right, solitude is the sole solution. i have no doubt.

silence is the language of soul.
